DRCY AI Design Review.
DRCY is AllSpice’s AI assisted design review agent.
It reviews your hardware designs using schematic context and component datasheets to surface potential issues, missing checks, and areas that deserve a closer look. DRCY is designed to support engineering judgment, not replace it.
DRCY works on the same design reviews you already use in AllSpice and runs on-command in the background.
When to use DRCY
DRCY is most effective reviewing a comprehensive circuit design where it can focus on nuanced connection or component issues.
Common use cases include:
- Catching issues that are easy to miss during manual review
- Getting broader review coverage without adding more reviewers
- Supporting senior engineers and teams reviewing many designs in parallel
DRCY does not block your workflow. You can continue reviewing and sharing your design while it runs.
How DRCY works at a high level
When you add DRCY to a design review, it:
- Analyzes schematics using design context
- References component datasheets associated with parts
- Applies structured review prompts developed for hardware design
DRCY produces review comments with references back to schematic locations and datasheets so engineers can quickly evaluate each finding.
Run a DRCY AI design review
Running DRCY takes only a few steps.
- Open an existing design review in AllSpice or use our Quick Review if you are just getting started.
- Add DRCY to the list of reviewers.
- Once DRCY is complete, Review the report in the comments of your Design Review.
Once added, DRCY automatically begins analyzing the design and adds a report into the comment thread.
If you do not see DRCY available as a reviewer, contact support@allspice.io.

What happens after you start DRCY
DRCY runs asynchronously in the background.
Depending on the size and complexity of the design, the review may take some time to complete. You do not need to stay on the page while it runs.
When DRCY finishes:
- You are notified in AllSpice
- Review comments appear directly in the design review
- Select comments are posted highlighting identified issues
- Each finding includes context to help you assess it quickly
- Component summary table and lists the review status's of selected component
Reviewing DRCY results
DRCY results appear alongside human review comments.
Each comment:
- Is tied to a specific part of the schematic
- Includes supporting context such as datasheet references with direct links.
- Is intended to be reviewed and confirmed by an engineer
You can reply to, resolve, or ignore DRCY comments just like any other review feedback.
Example DRCY review
The following interactive example shows DRCY reviewing a real hardware design and surfacing findings directly in the design review.
Uploading custom or missing datasheets
DRCY will flag missing datasheets and give you an opportunity to add them after the review.

Click on "Upload Missing Datasheets" to expand the list.

Click on "Upload a datasheet here" for the component you want to update.
AllSpice will automatically create a commit with your uploaded files. Add a commit message and click "Commit Changes". Rerun DRCY to incorporate the uploaded schematics.

Important limitations to understand
DRCY is an assistant, not an authority.
- It does not approve designs
- It may surface false positives
- It may miss issues outside its current scope
- Partial designs are not recommended for DRCY review at this time
Final design decisions always remain with your engineering team.
